List of Services–Hearing Aids
This is a partial list of services available to patients right in Dr. Milbrath's Elmbrook office. All services are conducted by Dr. Milbrath or, where appropriate, and in-office audiologist. There is no need for patients to travel to separate facilities to have these procedures performed.
Hearing Tests
- We have in-office capability to test the hearing of children six months of age to adults.
- School children who have failed hearing screenings can be formally tested and then seen by Dr. Milbrath.
- Children with speech delay can be tested to determine if hearing loss may be a contributing cause.
- Patients with sudden hearing loss can be evaluated and treated.
- Hearing can be evaluated to look for noise induced loss.
- Hearing aids are available; there is a trial period to assure his suitability prior to any purchase (see the ENT Treatment Center, LLC site).
Endoscopy Services
- Laryngeal (voice box) endoscopy is done to view possible causes of hoarseness (i.e. vocal cord nodules or polyps), swallowing difficulties, or throat pain.
- Nasal endoscopy is done to look for causes of difficulty breathing through the nose, nasal polyps, sinus infection, and healing status of sinuses after sinus surgery.
Ear Cleaning
- A microscope combined with a vacuum is often used to clean wax or infection from ears, the ear can then be more thoroughly examined.
